Make Your Own Weather Wheel

Level of Difficulty: Easy - Minimal Parental Supervision Required
Estimated Completion Time: 2-3 hours
Theme: Create Your Own

Create a weather wheel that shows six different types of weather using art and collage techniques. The weather wheel can be used to talk about the weather as children prepare clothing and activities for each day, and to discuss how the characteristics of weather change with each of the four seasons. You can also explore visual references, from common weather report symbols used by meteorologists, to the primitive artwork style of Grandma Moses and her use of different seasons in her work.

When you are done, we'd love to see your artwork. Please go to our gallery and upload your finished
masterpiece! We can't wait to see it! If you like to Blog, send us a comment and tell us about your
experience!
