Puppet Theatre

Level of Difficulty: Intermediate - Parental supervision required for specific tasks
Estimated Completion Time: 30-45 minutes to contruct; 2-4 hours drying time
Theme: Puppets

What better way to use up all of your leftover holiday wrapping materials and boxes, while keeping the kids entertained for hours than a do-it-yourself Puppet Show!! Puppetry is an ancient form of theatre, with evidence of the first puppets from Egypt in 2000 B.C. (nearly 30,000 years ago!). Puppetry was thought to exist even before theatre acting as a way for humans to express ideas and needs in early civilizations. Even today, it is a great form of expression, a quintessential play pattern for young children, and the best at “getting the giggles out”!!

When you complete your project, we would love to hear about it on our blog! You can win a prize for your comment! Also, upload a photo of your Puppet Theatre to our Gallery so others can see it!
